CONOSTAN Calibration Standards
CONOSTAN Total Base Number (TBN) calibration standards. 1.0–70.0 mg KOH/g range, less than 1% uncertainty, dramatic titration inflection points. ASTM D2896 compliant.
TBN Standards
Each CONOSTAN TBN standard produces dramatic, easily identifiable inflection points in the titration curve. Concentration uncertainty less than 1%. In 75 g bottles.

FAQ
TBN indicates the acid-neutralizing capacity of engine oil. A drop below a certain threshold signals that the oil needs to be changed.
No. Choose two or three reference points for your application: low, mid, and high range. This is sufficient for regular calibration.
D2896 uses perchloric acid titration; IP 276 uses HCl titration. CONOSTAN standards are compliant with both.
Yes. Both series can be sourced in a single order through Anka Analitik.
