Bulk density and tapped density measurement per ISO 787-11, USP <616> and Ph.Eur. 2.9.34. Fully automated tapping mechanism with 250 ml and 100 ml cylinder options.

The BeDensi T Pro series is designed to meet industry standards for bulk and tapped density measurement. The electromagnetically driven tapping mechanism maintains constant energy per tap and tap frequency — delivering reproducible, operator-independent results.
The instrument automatically fills the measuring cylinder via vibration. It stops at the specified tap count and calculates bulk density, tapped density, Carr index and Hausner ratio.

Bulk/tapped density of APIs, excipients and granules. USP <616> and Ph.Eur. 2.9.34 compliant QC measurement.
Bulk density quality control for paint and pigment powders per ISO 787-11.
Raw material density characterization for additive manufacturing and powder metallurgy.
Compressibility and filling characterization of ceramic powders. Pre-sintering density control.
Bulk density QC and packaging optimization for pesticides, fertilizers and crop additives.
Density characterization of cathode and anode active materials. Electrode thickness optimization.
Storage and dosage density measurement for flour, cocoa, powdered sugar and food additives.
Quality assurance of chemical raw materials and products with bulk density and flowability index.
BeDensi T Pro directly measures bulk density and tapped density. It automatically calculates the Carr compressibility index and Hausner ratio from the measurement results. These values are used to classify the flowability of the powder.
Both standards use the same principle — sequential measurement of bulk and tapped density. However, tap counts and checkpoints differ: USP <616> specifies 10, 500 and 1250 tap checkpoints; Ph.Eur. 2.9.34 defines the same intervals. BeDensi T2 and T3 comply with both standards.
The 250 ml cylinder is the standard for ISO 787-11 and USP Method 1; most industrial applications use this size. The 100 ml cylinder is specified for USP Method 2 and is preferred in R&D work where sample quantity is limited. Most pharmaceutical applications are served by the 100 ml cylinder.
Tapped density analyzers require frequent manual cleaning; measuring cylinders and funnels must be cleaned between samples. Annual maintenance and calibration is recommended. Approved weights and reference samples are used for calibration. For technical support, contact +90 (216) 577 52 96.
