The EQP-210 produces stable, crack-free pellets for XRF and FTIR KBr analysis across a wide die range from 8 mm to 40 mm. The aluminium and polycarbonate safety cabinet with a coded open-door detector ensures full operator safety. Double-cycle pressing purges entrapped gases from each pellet.

The EQP-210 handles both XRF and FTIR sample preparation from a single instrument. The aluminium/polycarbonate safety cabinet with coded door detector meets CE and UKCA safety standards.

Double-Cycle Pressing
Two compression stages per cycle. The first stage releases entrapped gases; the second stage produces a smooth, stable surface. Surface quality directly affects XRF measurement accuracy.

A coded open-door detector prevents the press from operating while the cabinet door is open. The aluminium and polycarbonate enclosure provides mechanical protection against pellet fragmentation. CE and UKCA certified.

Common Questions

The EQP-210 primarily prepares homogeneous pellets for XRF (X-ray Fluorescence) spectrometers. It is equally suited for preparing transparent KBr pellets for FTIR analysis; the support for small-diameter dies makes this possible.

The EQP-110 handles up to 60 pellets per hour with a fixed 40 mm die and requires no safety door due to its enclosed pressing area. The EQP-210 has a full aluminium/polycarbonate safety cabinet, supports dies from 8 mm to 40 mm, and is also suited for FTIR KBr pellet preparation. CE and UKCA certification applies to the EQP-210.

When the cabinet door is open, the coded open-door detector prevents the press from operating. The aluminium and polycarbonate construction provides mechanical shielding against pellet fragmentation. This design is CE and UKCA certified.

Yes. The EQP-210's generous working area and Equilab's dedicated tool-change system allow dies from 8 mm to 40 mm to be swapped quickly. Cutting, crushing and punching tools can also be integrated into the same platform.
