Dynamic Image Analysis Instrument
The BeVision D3 Series measures the size and shape distribution of dry powders and granules in real time. Its dual high-speed CMOS camera system classifies over one million particles per measurement, delivering results across 37+ parameters in approximately 3 minutes.
Dynamic Image Analysis
Dispersed particles pass through a precisely defined detection zone. Uniform background illumination across the full field of view produces high-contrast particle projections, which the dual high-speed CMOS camera system captures and analyzes in real time.
BV-F10 Disperser
The BV-F10 delivers uniform, gentle dispersion for free-flowing powders and granules. Gravity-driven free-fall ensures highly representative particle presentation without mechanical stress or particle damage.
Model Selection
The BeVision D3 Series covers sub-micron analysis through coarse granule measurement in three distinct configurations.
| Model | Measurement Range | Optical System | Light Source | Recommended Use |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| BeVision D3 Pro | 0.5 μm – 16 mm | Dual-lens | Green + Blue (zoom) | Sub-micron analysis, fine particle fractions |
| BeVision D3 | 11.5 μm – 16 mm | Single-lens | Green parallel planar | Standard industrial quality control |
| BeVision D3 Macro | 20 μm – 26 mm | Single-lens | Green parallel planar | Coarse granules, aggregates, seeds |

Frequently Asked Questions
It depends on the model: the D3 Pro covers 0.5 μm – 16 mm, the standard D3 covers 11.5 μm – 16 mm, and the D3 Macro covers 20 μm – 26 mm. The D3 Pro is the right choice when sub-micron resolution is required; the D3 Macro is suited to coarse granules and aggregates.
Laser diffraction provides only a size distribution. DIA additionally measures 30+ shape parameters — aspect ratio, circularity, convexity, Feret diameters, and more. DIA also records individual particle images, enabling visual verification and outlier analysis.
The typical test cycle is approximately 3 minutes, which may vary with sample type and feed rate. More than one million particles are classified per measurement, ensuring statistically reliable results.
The BeVision D3 Series is fully compliant with ISO 13322-2 (Particle Size Analysis by Dynamic Image Analysis) and ISO 9276 (Representation of Results of Particle Size Analysis). DIA results are directly comparable to sieve analysis data.
The dedicated calibration unit is certified by a National Metrology Institute and serves as both a calibration and verification tool in one device. Calibration and verification reports with 1 μm precision are generated automatically by the software.
The instrument operates with sample loads from 20 mg to 200 g depending on the material. The BV-F10 disperser's 100% sample recovery feature is particularly valuable for precious or limited-quantity samples.
