Microwave Assisted Digestion System
The QWave Microwave Assisted Digestion System handles digestion, extraction, evaporation, and synthesis on a single platform — with independent per-vessel pressure monitoring, rotating antenna design, and wireless touchscreen control. Safety and throughput without compromise.
Platform
The QWave 2000 and QWave 1000 are two distinct configurations addressing different throughput and application requirements. Both share the same safety architecture and vessel sets.
Safety Technology
Per-vessel independent pressure monitoring with a reclosable venting mechanism. Cross-contamination risk is kept to a minimum; operator safety is maintained without compromise.
Vessel Sets
Both vessel sets use TFM liners and include OPGuard protection. Select based on your sample matrix and required throughput.

Applications
Frequently Asked Questions
The QWave 2000 is a dual-magnetron system delivering 1800 W total output via two 900 W magnetrons; it is designed exclusively for closed vessel digestion. The QWave 1000 is a single-magnetron unit that supports both closed and open vessel protocols. An external exhaust fan for safe removal of acid vapours is standard in the open vessel configuration.
eVHP handles demanding matrices at pressures up to 151 bar and offers 18 vessels per run on the QWave 2000 (12 on the QWave 1000). LVHT is optimised for high-throughput routine analysis with 36 vessels per run; moderate temperature and pressure conditions are sufficient for most environmental and food matrices.
OPGuard is a reclosable individual overpressure protection system that monitors every vessel independently. When the pressure control limit is exceeded, pressure is vented vertically in a controlled direction to prevent cross-contamination between vessels. A major venting event cuts magnetron power automatically and triggers an audible alarm with on-screen visual warnings.
QWave comes with a pre-loaded method library covering EPA and other internationally recognised standard methods. Users can create, store, and manage more than 1000 custom multi-step methods via the touchscreen interface.
QBlock is an optional block digestion unit that integrates with QWave. It is used for low-temperature pre-digestion of organically rich samples prior to microwave processing, boric acid treatment of HF-containing digests, and post-digestion acid evaporation. All steps are performed within the original digestion vessel liner, eliminating cross-contamination from multiple vial transfers.
The system automatically logs all digestion parameters — temperature, power, pressure, and OPGuard events — throughout every run. With 10 GB of onboard storage and built-in data export and print functionality, every batch is fully traceable and auditable.
