Replace weekly for daily heavy use, monthly for light use. Never pour used buffer back into the original bottle. Discoloration or pH drift beyond acceptable limits are signs the buffer needs replacing.
PlasmaPure acids are specifically purified for ICP-MS applications requiring isotope dilution and sub-ppb analysis. Trace element content is verified in every lot. For routine ICP-OES work, AccuSPeC acids are generally sufficient. Run a background check on your instrument to determine which purity grade your application actually needs.
No. The standard reflux is 2 hours at 150°C. Longer heating can over-reduce the dichromate reagent and produce erroneous results. Follow the procedure instructions strictly and validate against your specific sample type.
