Applications
FAQ
peCheck standards are specifically designed for performance evaluation and control chart construction, with Round Robin consensus values. AccuSPeC covers a broader range of calibration and verification applications. Both series can be used for daily QC.
A minimum of 20 results is recommended to calculate a reliable mean and standard deviation for a Shewhart control chart. This typically takes 4–6 weeks to accumulate. Rebuild the chart after major instrument maintenance or significant method changes.
High-throughput labs should run a QC check at the start of every analytical batch (daily). Moderate-use labs are typically adequate with weekly use. Follow the frequency specified in your laboratory quality manual for accreditation compliance.
