Frequently Asked Questions
The PlasmaCAL series covers over 70 elements at 1,000 ppm. Al, As, Ba, Cd, Ca, Cr, Cu, Fe, Pb, Mg, Mn, Ni, K, Se, Ag, Na, Sr, and Zn are among those routinely held in stock. The 10,000 ppm series also spans 70+ elements; the 50,000 ppm series covers 22 critical elements.
NIST traceability documents that your measurement results are linked to international standards. ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation, regulatory compliance, and customer audits frequently require the use of traceable calibration standards. SCP Science standards are directly traceable to NIST Series 3100 Standard Reference Materials.
Unopened standards have a shelf life of 24 months. After opening, use within 15 months. Store at 15–25°C, away from direct light and heat. pH buffers and reagents range from 12 to 24 months depending on the product — check the label date on each item.
EPA 200.7 is a water analysis method designed for ICP-OES instruments, operating at ppm (µg/mL) levels. EPA 200.8 is developed for ICP-MS instruments and provides ultra-trace element analysis at ppb and ppt levels. Separate calibration standards and QC solutions are available for each method.
Yes. Every SCP Science standard ships with a lot-specific Certificate of Analysis containing the certified concentration, measurement uncertainty, calibration methodology, and NIST traceability information. An MSDS is also provided with each product.
