Applications
FAQ
HNO₃ matrix is the most common choice for ICP-OES and ICP-MS; it is compatible with the majority of elements. Use HCl for chloride-based digests. When in doubt, match the matrix of your standard to the dominant acid in your sample preparation procedure.
Shelf life is counted from the production date printed on the label and CoA. Unopened standards remain stable for 24 months. After opening, use within 15 months. Store at 15–25 °C, away from direct light and heat sources.
Yes — that is one of the intended uses. Check elemental compatibility before mixing: Ag precipitates with SO₄²⁻; Ba precipitates with SO₄²⁻. Standards sharing the same acid matrix (e.g. all in HNO₃) can usually be combined without issue.
1,000 ppm covers most routine ICP calibration workflows. Choose 10,000 ppm when you need to prepare multiple concentration levels from a single stock (e.g. 10, 100, 500 ppb), or when your linear range extends beyond what 1,000 ppm can cover after dilution.
Yes. Every lot ships with a CoA showing certified concentration value, measurement uncertainty, production method and NIST traceability reference. CoAs can also be verified online via SCP Science's lot lookup tool. Keep CoA copies with your instrument logbooks for accreditation audits.
